What I'm reading Wednesday...

Becoming Jane Eyre by Sheila Kohler

Wednesday already?!  Being without internet all weekend, and Carey working the weekend unexpectedly, has completely messed with my inner calendar.  I did, however, get a lot of reading done.  I haven't made much of a start on this one (since the internet and Carey are both back).

Yesterday we made a Costco run and loaded up on industrial sizes of freezer storage bags, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, etc.  I'm not sure I bought a single food item.  Today we did the regular grocery store shop.  Menu plan is made...the pantry and freezer are both stocked up again...I'm back in business.

  1. Menu planning and grocery shopping are on my agenda today. Looking for industrial-size aluminium foil to fit my new 15x21 baking sheets. I'm sure Costco has it.

    1. Costco is the only place I buy foil…don’t like the thin stuff, and my pan that I use to roast vegetables, etc., needs the extra width. I bought a big package of stew meat while we were there too. First thing this morning, I dredged, seared, and divided it into three batches; one for slow cooker today, and two for freezer. Feels good to have that done.

  2. I need to check out that book, it looks promising.Your menu planning is good to see...I really need to do more of that because I end up wasting food too often.

    1. I just this minute finished it, Polly. I have very mixed feelings about it. I'm not sorry I read it, but I'm not sure I would recommend it.

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
