Happy New Year! I wish everyone peace and prosperity and much, much happiness in the coming year.
Last year's goals were pretty simple.
2016 GOALS
Write it down -- continue with weekly listing goals and to-dos...this is the best way of keeping me on track and making progress
<SUCCESS!>
Finances -- focus on frugality, weekly blog post for accountability
<SUCCESS!>
Home -- reacquaint myself with Flylady routines and continue reducing possessions
<UNMITIGATED FAILURE>
Quilting -- complete 6 quilts As far as completing (meaning done and ready to use) it was an unmitigated failure, but I did get some tops completed, so I'm counting it as a...
<LIMITED SUCCESS>
Water -- drink 42 ounces of water daily (over and above other beverages consumed)
<SOMEWHAT SUCCESSFUL --MORE WATER, BUT NOT CONSISTENT>
52 Letters in 52 Weeks <LIMITED SUCCESS - 36 OUT OF 52 DONE>
I did like keeping my goals simple and few, so I will only adjust slightly for 2017.
2017 GOALS
Write it down -- continue with weekly listing goals and to-dos...this is the best way of keeping me on track and making progress
Finances -- focus on frugality, weekly blog post for accountability (It did keep me thinking about it when I knew I had to blog weekly, so I guess I will keep it up.)
Home -- Swiffer one room daily (My sole focus this year. I figure the rest will fall in place.)
Reduce possessions -- Sell ten items
Quilting -- complete ten quilts/quilted projects (because, you know, if you fail at six, try ten next time)
Water -- drink 36 ounces of water daily (over and above other beverages consumed)

A Happy New Year from across the pond. I am always in awe of people who manage to set goals and actually meet at least some of them. Well done Kathleen. All the best for 2017 and I look forward to your blog posts and completed quilts!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Catherine! It didn't feel like I made much headway on my list, but still, some progress is better than none. I miss your blog! Are you settled in a new house? Hope you have a wonderful year!
DeleteHappy New Year! Love your goals - most of them are on my list too.
ReplyDeleteHi, Pamela! Hope we both make progress on our lists this year!
DeleteBut aren't four gorgeous quilt tops better than six OK ones? Your goals always are impressive. Keep up the good work. Mine are simple this year:
ReplyDelete1. Reduce my belongings.
2. Repurpose things I love so I use them even more.
3. Renew my creative side by coloring, crocheting, or card making.
4. Move daily--walk, swim, stretch, or dance
Quilt tops are not nearly as WARM as finished quilts. But thanks for the affirmation. :)
ReplyDeleteYour goals are good ones. Have you written them down where you can see them?
I have set myself the challenge of posting #createeveryday on FB but since I know how many people hate FB I am also going to be posting each week recapped on my blog.. done 5 days so far... and I need to get with the reducing possessions goal big time!
ReplyDeleteI felt your steely gaze upon me when you talk about people who hate Facebook. :) I look forward to your blog recaps.
