A Brilliant Death by Robin Yocum
The death is 'Brilliant' in that it takes place in the town of Brilliant, Ohio. Coming of age story of two young boys, best friends. One from a loving family, and the other lives with his abusive father since his mother drowned when he was an infant. Since there is an aura of mystery surrounding her death, the boys set out to discover what really happened.
