The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes
Post WWII story of brides traveling to new lives with the husbands they married during wartime.
I just picked this up from the library, and haven't tucked into it yet. I'm not sure when I will have time, but I'm sure I will find some.
I think I read Me Before You by this author. I am bogged down with the "All the Light" book. I guess it's just me that I can't get in to it. The garden keeps calling me.
ReplyDeleteHi, Peggy. I haven't read any of her books before, so looking forward to it. I haven't read "All The Light" either. I usually don't read really popular books while they are all the rage...I usually wait awhile.
DeleteMe Before You was amazing and I think I've read one other by Jojo. Notice the familiarity? If I read more than one book by the same author I consider them friends. :) Interested in knowing what you think of this one.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy. The time investment of reading two books is more than I get to spend with most of my friends, so, yeah, I can see the first-name basis.
DeleteI’ll let you know what I think of this one. And just so you know, I put a short review (a paragraph maybe) of everything I read on my “Reading List” page (under the header photo).
That looks like my kind of book!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good so far.
DeleteHaven't heard of this one, but I love anything WW2, and I've enjoyed some of her other novels, so I'll look out for it. :)
ReplyDeleteI’m about halfway through and enjoying it. I’ve not had much reading time lately. I am determined to not book any work days in July!
