  • Grab the nearest book to you
  • Turn to page 56
  • Post the text of the fifth sentence as a post title, and pass this meme on to who you like

The sentence in the post title is from Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. I'll bet it had some of you wondering what the heck this post was about, huh? :) If you're reading this and want to play too, consider yourself tagged!

  1. "Back in bed, I remembered an old sermon of Veronica's in which she said that when we are with other people, they should be able to see Jesus' love in our faces, his tender-compassion in our hands." Anne Lamott's "Grace (Eventually)"

Loved this idea...could not resist. -C

  2. I loved it when I read it on another blog too.

And I find it amusing that my sentence has the character under a quilt, and yours has the character back in bed. I should actually turn off the computer, and crawl under the covers with my book!

  3. Thanks for the linky. Rather like your sentence - it's a good one. I felt quite upset that mine was a blank page!!

  4. Hi there, What's Happening. A blank page would be so disappointing, but made for a humorous blog post. :)

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
