They May Not Mean To, But They Do by Cathleen Schine
I have been wanting to read this for a long time. I was hoping to find it at the library, but no such luck. I finally bought a used copy.
Aging parents and middle-aged offspring cramp each others' style...they may not mean to, but they do. :)
This book sounds intriguing and isn't the cover brilliant, so pretty?
ReplyDeleteThe cover is beautiful. The book is a little slow, but likable characters.
DeleteWe are off to Colorado next week and have chosen 2 new books for the plane journey. One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson and In the Name of the Family by Sarah Dunant. The first first is a murder mystery which has had fantastic reviews. She is such a good author.
ReplyDeleteThe second is a historical novel set in Renaissance Italy and again has wonderful reviews.
I read Atkinson's Life After Life, and had mixed feelings. But it did leave me thinking about it long after I finished it. The chapters involving The Blitz were so realistic, like none I had ever read on the subject.
DeleteHave a wonderful trip!
