Saturday snail mail...

My endeavor to mail 52 letters in 52 weeks continues.

I found that I had quite a few card photos stacking up, so it's time for a bit of a Saturday snail mail catch up.

The latest group were inspired by Lori Vliegen watercolors.

I figured if I could do birdies, then I could do posies too.

I actually disassembled the following one, trimmed it down, added a stamped message, and then reassembled it in another way and used it as my mother-in-law's Mother's Day card...I just forgot to take a photo of it finished, so what you see is actually the before.

I had also made a few previously that were mailed out in April.

I found the images of the blue and white plates online and printed them out on watercolor paper.  Then I cut them out and placed them on a lace-lined 'shelf' on a kraft card base.

And then I was inspired by Amethyst Designs...hers were stamped and then white embossed on kraft paper.  I used a white gel pen to doodle some flowers on kraft cards.

There were quite a few mailed that I didn't get photos of.

  2. I was so very happy to receive your card and the fact it was the blue and white china plate one, made me doubly happy! Very thoughtful.

  4. Finally getting around to doing some blog-reading after our weekend away. I'm behind as usual - Life Last Week may or may not make it up this week - it may end up as a Life Last Last Week! I love your cards! I have a whole board on Pinterest called Cards I Like - I so admire the card-making talent in others although I am quite useless at it. I think I want the card to look like the picture I've pinned immediately and as they take a lot of work, that never happens so I give up. I did persevere and make cards for my Mum - she loved them no matter how imperfect I thought they were.

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
