My Name Is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira. I'm enjoying this American Civil War historical fiction about a midwife who wants to be a surgeon. Turned down by medical schools and for apprenticeships, she volunteers to be an army nurse. So far I'm finding it well written...well researched...hate to put it down and can't wait to pick it back up.

What I'm Reading Wednesday...

ReplyDeleteI'm just about finished The Sheen on the Silk, by Anne Perry it's set in the Byzantine empire... really different from her normal books! It's actually very good
