The first radar image was just as Hurricane Harvey's eye hit land. And just so you know, the blue dot just north of San Antonio in each image is my location.

Glad you're safe. The news is heart-breaking.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I just have no words for what I feel for those who lost so much. And still more flooding to come for the Houston area.
DeleteGlad to hear you came through ok. Hurricanes are no fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you. So thankful for modern meteorology, but even so they are unpredictable.
DeleteI am so glad that extreme weather events are rare here in the UK. My stepdaughters house in he Lake District was flooded to a depth of 4ft a couple of years ago and it took months for the works and insurance to be sorted.
ReplyDeleteFloods are so, so horrible. Everything is ruined: contents, floors, walls, appliances… And you feel compelled to dig through the muck to find something, anything that may have survived unscathed. I am so sad for all who have such sad days ahead. And hope your step-daughter and family are over the trauma of it.
DeleteSo very happy to see you escaped unscathed. Those in Houston and other areas were not so lucky. Floods are such horrible disasters with far reaching destruction.
