...hemochromatosis.
If you have it and ignore, you might just get cirrhosis.
If I hear it oft enough, I know I'll have neurosis.
Supercalifragilistic hemochromatosis!
The latest chapter in my Old Egg saga. I won't bore you with the details...if I haven't already. I just want to ask for prayers and positive thoughts on Wednesday, when I will be having minor surgery. The phlebotomy treatment for the hemochromatosis is not working out so well, so I'm having a portacath implanted so that it can be used for removing blood rather than constantly fighting to find a vein.
And since I had to stop my blood thinners (taken for yet another Old Egg malady) leading up to the surgery, I get to inject myself in the stomach twice a day instead till it's all over! Yippee!

Prayers your way tomorrow! How did you get the photo of my tummy? Not!
ReplyDeleteDid I miss your birthday? Well, please accept my belated wishes for a great year!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your health issues---I know my daughter has many chronic health issues and a blood clotting disorder discovered in her last (5th)-- VERY LAST pregnancy! She had to have those shots everyday and this is a girl who was always needle phobic!
Now I have to ask about Old Egg malady?????
Prayers for some relief and healing for you!
Hugs,
V
Thanks, K2 and V and those who emailed privately. It went fine. I went back to work the next day...a little sore, but not too bad.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear everything went well...Not sure I could inject myself in the stomach.. I have no problem cutting out splinters and things.. but sticking myself with a needle Don't think so....
