Look what I made today. Yummmmm. And you know what that means?
Yep! They delivered and installed the range and microwave today. So happy! (After three months without.)
After much consideration, I decided on the double oven. Not that I think I will be using both ovens simultaneously much (if ever). I actually went for this model, because I thought it would be easier on my back to use the upper oven. Also I thought that the smaller (upper) oven (which will probably be all I use about 90% of the time) would preheat quicker and maybe save a little energy. I gave it a test run by popping in Carey's favorite Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie. The recipe can be found at What's Cookin' 4 Miles North of Nowhere.
Now...I wonder what dessert I'm going to make for Sunday Dinner with the kids?
Looks amazing (pie and stove!). Let me know how you keep the cooktop clean. I've tried a variety of products but haven't really found the perfect one yet.
ReplyDeleteDoes yours have the little raised dots on the glass top…not sure exactly how to describe them. I heard that these newer tops are harder to keep clean than the older ones. I’ll keep you posted as to how I get along with it.
ReplyDeleteNo, the one I have now and I one I had at the place I just left did not have raised dots. It was completely smooth. It's not too difficult to keep clean, until a pan boils over and whatever spills out gets burned onto the surface. That's a pain to clean off.
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO how fun to have your kitchen or the main part back I use. BOth the pie and the stove look great. Can't wait to see more
ReplyDeleteThanks, CatieAn! I AM really happy. I feel bad for not putting up photos yet, but it is still such a mess. I’m getting there.
ReplyDeleteThey came out with double ovens a couple of years after I bought my stove I really want one but then I would no longer have my junk drawer under the oven..... (actually I'm sure they had them when I bought my stove they just weren't very common) Kitchen looks good scrolling back trying to see what it looks like!
