Soup of the day...
Lentil Soup...recipe found here.
Soup weather is on its way! It's supposed to be much cooler and less humid in the coming week, so I am happily adding a couple of soup nights to the menu this week.I love soup!It is generally easy to make. So many are slow cooker friendly. It tastes just as good warmed up the next day. And it's my comfort food.So I ask you...what is your favorite soup? And if you want to leave the recipe in the comments, that would be WAY cool!Oh, and my favorite? Probably a very yummy Jalapeno Sweet Potato.
I LOVE SOUP OF ANY KIND. AS FAR AS A FAVORITE I WOULD HAVE TO SAY CHICKEN NOODLE WITH ANY KIND OF LEFT OVER VEGGIES THROWN IN AND THE CHICKEN SHREDDED.
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine, I love chicken noodle too...or even better leftover-Thanksgiving-turkey noodle!
ReplyDeleteI love lentils and they are so nutritious! I'll be trying this one
ReplyDeleteDr. Oz was singing their (lentils) praises the other day as a good "brain" food for those who worry about memory problems down the road as they age.
My favorite soup is Mexican Chicken with Lime and cilantro seasoning & avacado on top! YUMMMM

Oooh, I do love soup. Usually it's made out of whatever I've got left in the botton of the fridge, but my very fave at the moment is spicy butternut squash. So autumnal!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...I love soup to. Pretty much any kind. I DEFINITELY want that Jalapeno Sweet Potato soup recipe. Will e-mail you a couple of my favorites in return.

Thanks for sharing. I think I forgot to say that:)
ReplyDeleteMy other comment didn't get to you for some reason.
ReplyDeleteMom is here at our house and also James and Robyn are in town. We all had dinner here last night. I made this soup. It was perfect for a crisp, cool fall evening. Mike made his famous cornbread and I made apple crisp.
It was so yummy!!!!
