I had to go in to work for awhile today in preparation for jumping in next Monday. I left Carey at home with one chore. This is all he got done. :) I have been cracking the whip since returning. Funny...that doesn't speed him up any. LOL I'm starting to worry that it won't be done as soon as I was hoping.
For some reason, every time I look at it now I see this...
Your post made me laugh but it looks like Carey is doing a good job even if he is a bit slow. Mike is doing lots of outdoor work in the garden in preparation for the summer. Yesterday he assembled an ironwork arch for a rose to grow over and he is in the middle of painting a couple of Victorian garden urns (planters) he bought at an antiques auction. Bring on the good weather so we can enjoy the garden again.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I made him use chalk paint and a specific brush, neither of which he had ever used before. And those cubbies are deep and hard to cover all the sides. Poor Carey. He's such a good sport. :)
DeleteChalk paint is perfect for this piece. Love the cartoon!
ReplyDeleteThe chalk paint is on and distressed. I can't decide if I want to do any other work on it before we seal it. I'll show photos soon.
DeleteI totally get why you see the character from Beauty & The Beast. Have you seen the newest film with Emma Watson? I don't usually like much Disney, but thought it was absolutely brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe only full Disney animated movie I ever remember seeing is The Jungle Book. Not sure why. I’ve not seen the live actor Beauty and The Beast either. I think, however, that I have absorbed the images through advertisements and seeing snippets of videos the kids might have had on while I was at their house. :)
