What I'm reading Wednesday...

Any Man by Amber Tamblyn

I heard the author interviewed on the radio, and it really piqued my interest.  A female serial rapist is attacking men.  It's not just a feminist turn about.  It examines the feelings of the men who are attacked and the publicity surrounding them.  No one protects their anonymity.  Where a woman might be asked or ask herself, 'What did you/I do to deserve this?'  these men are asked and/or asking themselves, 'How did I let this happen?'

The chapters are as different as the survivors.  The IT specialist is written in instant messages.  The stand-up comic is written as a long routine.  Very interesting.

I wish I could stay home and read!

    1. I ordered them from somewhere, but I don’t remember where…maybe Joann’s? I also have ordered metal dies so that I can make my own from cardstock.

  2. hi Kath, I haven't been reading much, too much yard work. The last one I read was a young adult, I Will Always Write Back. It was a true story about two kids who became pen pals who couldn't have had more different lives. I was glad I read it. Hope your summer is going good.

    1. I read that one too! I loved it. We don't do yard work here. If the heat and lack of rain don't kill growing things, the deer eat them.

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
