What I'm reading Wednesday...

Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving
at Work, Home, and School by John Medina

I bought this ebook years ago...and then I bought it again three years later.  Isn't there some sort of brain rule against that sort of thing?  Something along the lines of, 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it'?

I'm counting this one under 'a book with a subtitle' category of the 2017 reading challenge.

  1. Oh, that is funny given the topic of the book! What do you think of it so far?

    1. I think I’m about a quarter in, and so far my circadian rhythm feels validated. Looking forward to the chapter on the multitasking myth. :)

  2. Don't think I've bought the same book twice, but I certainly have started reading a book, and gotten a good way along before realizing I'd read it before...

    1. Well that would put you in the once booked/twice read group of the population. I'm in the twice booked/once read group. :)

  3. I started a post, got distracted and now hope I don't post the same things twice--that would be twice posted/once read group, maybe?

I wanted to ask you to send me the extra copy!

I am a fall loving creature--I love the burst of colors as the trees' foliage dies and the cooler temperatures...Sleeping bears scare me.

I am enjoying (I think) reading The Bees by Laline Paula--one you recently recommended. It is way beyond quirky.

    1. Unfortunately, both of my Brain Rules are ebooks. I’m pretty sure there’s no way to gift an ebook, and this one isn’t ‘lendable.’

Unfortunately, we have no fall colors here. Everything is just brown, a carryover from summer.

How could you NOT enjoy The Bees? You LOVE dystopian! You LOVE bees! LOL

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
