What I'm reading Wednesday...

The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin

I checked this out from the library.  I had to recheck it before I even started reading it as I've been pretty busy with the quilt retreat prep, attendance, and recovery.  :)  I have started reading it now, but haven't gotten far into it yet.

This has recently been made into a movie which will be released in October of this year.  It fulfills the "A Book That's Becoming A Movie in 2017" category of the 2017 Reading Challenge.

  1. Your quilts are just beautiful! I would like to make the butterfly too, but no quilts for me. I will let you know how badly I mess up.

    1. Thank you, Peggy. I hope you have fun with the butterfly pattern. The hardest part for me was tacking it in strategic spots to hold it, but still have the stitches be invisible. It occurred to me that maybe a few tiny dots of hot glue might work. I think I will give that a try.

    1. I've never read any of his before either. I'm enjoying this one, and now I want to see the movie too.

    1. So far I haven’t gotten one I really didn’t like. Surprising, as last year I seemed to have a lot I couldn’t make myself finish, and that was just me picking what I wanted with no goals.

  4. Charles Martin is one of my favorite authors. I have trouble seeing this as a movie. It has lots of grim, cold parts.

    1. I can definitely see it as a movie. I can't wait to see who plays the dog. :)

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
