The mother of invention...

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but PAIN must be the mother of action.  Here's my story in pictures.

And she's mobile again!

Not venturing out and about, but at least I can now maneuver around the house much more easily and comfortably.

Shingle shoes...very-expensive cheapy flipflops...but they're now special orthotics, don't you know!  :)

  2. I feel bad for you, I never knew shingles would come on your feet. You had a brilliant idea. Also could you just prop your foot up and read?

  3. Hope you are feeling much better soon! I had a mild outbreak of shingles years ago--luckily the meds did make my case really light. My son and daughter both had chicken pox at the same time as children from being around a child with shingles. My son had a pretty bad case of shingles in his mid 20's --felt like he had the flu for a few days and then the rash broke out on his chest. I wonder if I could get them again--maybe I should get the vaccine!

I have had a lot of really gross spam comments left lately, so I am having to turn comment moderation back on. To my nice blog friends, my apologies if this makes it more difficult for you to comment. To the mean naughty-talk spammers, just go away!
